The Department of Wellness and Prevention Services at Appalachian State University serves all students through the promotion of healthy behaviors, risk behavior modification services, and advocacy for campus-wide health policies that facilitate student success and holistic well-being.
Early Intervention Team
The Early Intervention Team is a faculty and staff-led entity, whose main function is to meet with students who are showing signs of difficulty with university life and who have been referred by faculty or staff.
Environmental Health, Safety, and Emergency Management

Office of Relocation and Dual Career Assistance
The Office of Relocation and Dual Career Assistance (RDCA) is a program developed collaboratively by the Office of Academic Affairs and the Office of Human Resources. Its purpose is to support new and prospective faculty, staff and their dual career partners and families in relocating to the local community.

The Office of Research consists of Grants Resources & Services, Sponsored Programs, Research Consultation, and Research Protections. We provide support for the research, creative endeavors, and scholarship of Appalachian faculty, staff, and students.

The Office of Student Research at Appalachian State University supports and promotes learning through mentored research experiences with Appalachian State faculty and other national and international scholars and professionals. The Honors College
The Honors College offers students and faculty members from every department and program at Appalachian opportunities to innovate, collaborate, dare, and grow, in and outside the classroom.
University Bookstore
The University Bookstore is a self-operated unit of auxiliary services and all revenues in excess of expenses are used to support student scholarships and on-campus initiatives.
University Documentary Film Services
University Documentary Film Services program teaches, engages in, and presents documentary work grounded in collaborative local and global partnerships that use photography, film/video, audio, and narrative writing to capture and convey memory, life, research, theory, and culture.
University Recreation
University Recreation offers a wide variety of opportunities for students, staff, & faculty to be involved in our programs and utilize our recreation facilities. Our program areas include Aquatics, Fitness, Club Sports, Intramural Sports, and Outdoor Programs.
